1000 days of Whoop

It’s now been 1000 days since I first strapped a Whoop onto my wrist, and what a journey it’s been. In that time, I’ve learned to push myself far beyond what I once thought possible. Even when it feels like the tank is empty, there’s almost always more to give. I’ve run two half marathons—something I never imagined I could do before starting.

I’ve built a weekly running habit I never expected, and I’ve done some form of activity every single day. No days off. Only once, when I was really sick, did I scale it back to a short walk—but I still got out there.

I’ve run at 6 a.m., gained muscle, lost fat, and just kept moving. My VO2 max is now 54 mL/kg/min. I’ve hit an HRV of 160 ms and increased my average HRV by roughly 20% based on my best months (which are always in the summer). My resting heart rate has dropped about 11%, from 55 to 49.

My sleep has improved a lot. I’ve started experimenting with supplements that have boosted my sleep, performance, and overall well-being, mentally and physically.

I’ve gotten multiple blood tests and improved several markers, like cholesterol. My Whoop age has been under 18 since that feature launched, and based on my current metrics, it’s around 15.5.

Along the way, I’ve motivated others to move more—helped people get started, introduced some to Whoop, encouraged others to try supplements—and it feels good knowing I’ve played a part in helping others get fitter too.

Thanks Whoop!

P.S. If you want to try out Whoop, use my link here to get a month off your order (and I’ll get a month added too, which would help a lot!)
